Our History
Founded in 1938 by Earl Moreland in Detroit, Michigan, City Compressor has established itself as a leader in remanufactured air conditioning and refrigeration compressors. Earl’s commitment to quality was so strong that he offered the same warranty as OEMs, building long-standing customer relationships while continuously refining the remanufacturing process.
The company relocated to Miami, Florida, in 1956 and further expanded in 1995 by acquiring Raymond Services Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. This allowed for same-day shipping for most orders. Throughout our growth, we’ve stayed true to our family-owned values of integrity, transparency, and personalized service.
